"After meeting me at work one evening, Berenice and I went for a drink before meeting others for dinner. Asking where she wanted to go, she replied 'A low place'. Just down the street from the Strand was a saloon even I wouldn't go into, but she did request 'A low place', so that's where I took her. Upon entering and heading for the bartender, I asked 'Is this low enough?' and, looking around at the boozers asleep with their heads in the puddles on the bar, she answered, 'No, I said a low place'". -- Burt Britton
