Caldecott Medal-winner Leonard Weisgard was Art Consultant for the United Synagogue Commission of Education when he saw one of Sendak’s window displays for F. A. O. Schwartz in New York and hired him to illustrate his first picture book Good Shabbos, Everybody. This fragile book is now extremely rare and seldom in this condition. Hanrahan A3.
